These pearl Shell Pubic covers come from the West Kimberley Region of Western Australia. They are a rare outstanding form of traditional aboriginal art.

This is a really nice old example and what some will perceive as damage others will recognise as later use. One side has been bitten three times and small fragments have broken been off for rainmaking magic. The shiny pearl shell was very valued for rainmaking and all the chips are old and patinated
