Description:

This aboriginal spear was collected by David Oldmeadow who was Cameraman and close friend of Malcolm Douglas. It is probably a payback spear used to punish wrongdoers. It is not thrown but used to stab someone in the leg as a traditional form of punishment. Beautifully painted and probably originates from Yirrkala
